This really is a must read for all fans of the paranormal genre. Each short story told, is told from a first person perspective, and carries credence because of the way it's told, and by whom is telling it. Police officers, soldiers, detectives; people you wouldn't expect to fall into telling such fantastical tales; and yet here we have them writing about such things as UFO's and ghosts!A must read for all... but don't turn off your light - otherwise you won't be able to see what you're reading : )

Great Collection from a Unique point of viewThis is an interesting collection of unusual encounters by law enforcement personnel, written by a former cop. It is one thing to read tales of regular people. It is quite another to learn of the stories of highly trained law enforcement, both civilian and military, who have had paranormal encounters. There are some strange encounters, some creepy, some unsettling and some uplifting. If you like to read stories about the unusual, then this.

I believe this book deserves a 5* rating mainly because of the way it was structured. It takes a lot of skill to consider how and where you're going to place your stories, and group them under what style of listings it belongs too. I also liked the clean cut way and no nonsense way of the reporting of the stories as well as the honesty of what you are reading about, although you really couldnt explain the why's or where's of it. It had a subliminal feeling in the pit of your stomach that tasted right, and you just could not put it down, not yet. All of the actors in this book, came together and coalesced in their respected fields of the unexpected that, that was what the glue was. Whew that was not easy...I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone 😊😇⌛,.WHEn I bought this book, it was a mistake. I really hadn't expected to buy it. I mistook this book for another similar to this one. So I bought the wrong one.

¿Dios? A saber.

Utterly fascinating book!I have always had friends who were cops or other first responders and so I've frequently heard similar stories. The author makes plain that these brave men and women have difficulty talking about their experiences with the paranormal which makes these accounts all the more compelling. Truly fascinating, often chilling, these stories are first-hand accounts of encounters with the supernatural by trained witnesses. As a scientist, I can vouch for the added credibility their training provides to their experiences.I hope the author publishes further accounts in the near future.

Would have liked a few links to follow up on some of the occurrencesQuite insightful albeit rather short retelling of real life experiences. Wether you are a believer in the paranormal or a sceptic you still might find it interesting.

A compilation of true stories of high strangeness experienced by law enforcement officers around the country. Strange coincidences, ghosts, and UFOs are just some of the things covered in the book. A very enjoyable read!

Really enjoyed this book. It's nice to see police officers (or former officers) aren't afraid to admit that there are things in this world that are beyond explanation.

Interesting Well written. I didn't think this would be readable at first when I realized it was being told in first person format and from police/military accounts.I found it unbelievable that any law enforcement person would publish anything true. or . all these stories would be allowed to be printed by the powers that be in the current state of political (keep the rabble in the dark secrecy is #1 priority) environment we live in today. Refreshing, to think there are still some honest, or very convincing make believe authorities. No insult meant towards the author. It is a good compilation, written so it held my interest and gives a few goosebumps too! I love the UFO accounts, especially the ones from the Keys base. The subject of the animal mutilation has been going on for many decades, way, way, back, as long as I can remember, is a true unexplained mystery. No definite answer from anyone there. Another big cover up in my conspiracy theory. Overall, and including the religious inclusions stories it is very entertaining and I would recommend this book, it is a Good Read. Thank you for your bravery and sharing Mr. Christensen.

I quite enjoyed this collection of spooky tales. They are very short and you can whizz through them in no time. I like that. It didn't have endless amounts of unnecessary waffle and it was just enough to give you the spooks! The first story really sucks you in. Short and packed full of punch. The tales are first-person accounts from military, security and police personnel. This format worked much better than I imagined. They are well-written. Many are also written by Christensen; both his own accounts and his own tellings of reports he has unearthed. In some of the latter, the stories are clunky and not as well-written as the others. I also got confused with the ordering at times as Christensen refers to a story that we "must read first" yet is later on in the book? Some of these stories could easily be explained. Others, well, they make you think.

Thought provokingWe know that even though we hear more stories about bad policemen and women that the overwhelming majority of them are rock solid people who are not prone to whimsy or panic. This book presents their experiences in a straightforward manner and leaves you to decide on which side of the fence you sit in a case by case basis.

Great stories!I have always had an interest in the paranormal, having witnessed spirits, hauntings, and even a possession. I had learned to be careful about who I told my stories too. Nowadays I see an increased openers to it as science has begun to accept what those like me already knew. This book was a quick read, as I don't want to put it down until I heard all their stories. For all those interested in the paranormal, or or those that think anyone who believes in UFOs or spirits has a few screws loose upstairs, this book is a must read.

Very interesting! A good read!Well worth the price. Having experiencing something like a few of these myself,I feel I fit right in the definition of a HSP, a highly sensitive person. I am very glad there professional men and women coming forward with their experiences.Buy the book even if you are only mildly interested in unexplained phenomena. These are not the wild ramblings of marginal people, but everyday soldiers and police experiencing strange things while performing their duties.

If you are into shivers you will probably like thisIf a cop, as trained observers, shares these experiences you have to feel they are pretty authentic. Which is not that comforting. It means there are many things around us we don't know. This is a good read, it makes you think outside the box.

Love this book! Couldn't put it down! This is one of the best books I've read about paranormal stories from law enforcement. The stories are riveting and some are downright frightening. I'm so thankful for all the people in law enforcement that go out and do their job each day and are still willing to return after some of the frightening experiences they've had.

Really enjoyed these very scary storiesMy Grandfather on my father's side was Sargeant for the Chicago Police Dept. My other Grandfather worked as a grounds keeper in a cemetery, so you can just imagine how much I loved these stories. They were scary without the paranormal element. Great job. I couldn't put it down.

Interesting read !!I love these types of stories. I hope the author will submit more in the future. I shudder to think what some of these professionals encounter "on the job." If anyone is subject to such experiences, it would be the men and women who risk their lives daily, to keep us safe.

    2019-06-02 10:46

Many stories too shortWhile almost all the stories were very good. I felt that too many of the stories were so short they were not as scary as they could have been.

Some of the stories were interesting and most of them were not that unique. If you've been reading paranormal stories for some time, you will find this has little to no surprises. There were a couple that I really enjoyed and thought provoking.Found the intro very confusing and the style of writing not to my liking. Though that's my personal opininion as I'm seeing lots of fans which is great!

Spooky ReadingThis book has some hair raising stories! The creep factor is way up there as well. And the thing that REALLY gets you is knowing of the ridicule that these officers will most likely endure when or if they share their stories.Well, color me convinced!

Short paranormal stories, as told by cops or former cops. It's a good juxtaposition having an official and pragmatic viewpoint looking at something as tenuous as paranormal happenings. Pretty interesting read if you're into the paranormal.

Loved it!Really enjoyed this book. A refreshing change from my usual read. I've seen lights in the sky that I'd consider to be a UFO, and I can tell u its the most baffling experience ever.
